I dance on my paper. Time and again art has played havoc in my life. It has brought me pain and pleasure. All my feelings just tumble out on my canvas. Lines, colours and shapes emerge very instinctively. I feel life flowing through me. My artworks are my translation of life itself. They all speak of different emotions one feels at different moments of the journey. Intense, passionate, deep and strong are my lines that create my pictures. I come alive on paper with my lines.

About the artist:

Alita Chandra Wig, born in 1964 in London, is a self-taught abstract artist and a professionally trained textile designer. During the past four decades she has evolved in a very unique style and distinct vocabulary of expression. She uses pens, inks, water colours and acrylics on archival paper. Her work is the expression of the unconscious in her. She has no control over the contents of her paper. It is a flow of her inner energy.
