About the artist:

A French painter, born in a small Mediterranean port, was introduced to painting at a very early age through family works from the beginning of the 20th century, which formed her eye for delicate and romantic atmospheres. From secondary school onwards, drawing and painting became her favourite means of expression, quickly spotted by her teachers. After her baccalaureate, she passed the Concours d'Entrée aux Beaux Arts de Bordeaux in France. Jean Laude, an eminent specialist in Black African art, introduced her to its influence on Fauvism and Cubism. In Paris, she joined the I.C.A.R.T, a school of management of culture and the art market. She defended a thesis on René BUTHAUD, a French painter and ceramist from the beginning of the 20th century, with whom she met personally and with whom she had many discussions. "After several years of experience in decorative painting based on trompe l'oeil in furnishings and architectural elements, I have turned to the canvas as a decorative vehicle. My main sources of inspiration are subjects that are very marked by an era. The idea is to give them a new light, a framing and a more current format in order to make them rediscover and enjoy the dreamy part of them.
