About the artist:

Artist, sculptor, curator, art gallery manager, art historian, and ballet
Ekaterina de la Torre was born in Russia and currently lives in Monterey,
California. In her artistic pursuits, she relies on her own sense of identity,
focusing on the roles of masculinity and femininity in the context of
sexuality, while exploring the influence of color and shape on the human
psyche. She works with the unconscious, answering
neuroaesthetics questions to reveal fascinating insights into her aesthetic
experience. Ekaterina has a master’s in art history, has curated a
professional gallery for most of her career, and is an accomplished ballet

Professional Experience:
2005 – 2021: Artist and curated/co-curated art projects – various
exhibition venues (Russia and Thailand)
2005 – 2019: Created public monumental works for historic buildings
