She started to photograph in her twenties and developed her own view on the world. Her photographic work addresses a rather wide range of topics, including long-term documentary series that will continue as a photographic research meant to be her graduation project at the Photo Academy of Amsterdam. Along with that she loves working with portraiture and fine art, still lives with a twist and experimental photography. She is fascinated by the paintings of the Dutch Old Masters, by the Japanese photography and by early 20th century art movements and uses these often for inspiration.

Along with being an autonomous photographer Ioana is also curating, using her vision on a progressive way of curating photography to connect the dots between art and the strong message that the visual material can convey.

Ioana is a visual artist and independent curator based in The Netherlands. She has been exposed to art and culture at a young age, enrolling for the first 10 years in a special school where all the students were either playing an instrument or were taking art classes, preparing for a study in the artistic field. Nevertheless she chose to become a scientist.

Publications: participating artist in the book Human Body is Art, published by Bruxelles Art Vue, a full page mention with works in the The Art Guide, Netherlands and Flemish Belgium (2021), online publication Experimental Photography, Artdoc Photography Magazine.
