It is the impulses from nature that move me, that I incorporate into my painting process and are 

found in my work.  All that occurs during the painting: corrections, paint-overs, destruction and 

renewal, remain as a witness in the picture. I prefer a spontaneous style of painting, deliberately 

leaving traces that remain visible like the quotations from a permanent process,  a removal from the 

figurative, lost in the surface, abstract then suddenly concrete. I am driven by a never-ending 

curiosity of what is hidden behind the next bend or mountain wall - one thought provoking the next.  

For me, painting is a constant search, a process of "losing yourself" only to "find yourself" once again.
