It is the impulses from nature that move me, that I incorporate into my painting process and are
found in my work. All that occurs during the painting: corrections, paint-overs, destruction and
renewal, remain as a witness in the picture. I prefer a spontaneous style of painting, deliberately
leaving traces that remain visible like the quotations from a permanent process, a removal from the
figurative, lost in the surface, abstract then suddenly concrete. I am driven by a never-ending
curiosity of what is hidden behind the next bend or mountain wall - one thought provoking the next.
For me, painting is a constant search, a process of "losing yourself" only to "find yourself" once again.
