I am inspired by nature, urban environment, architecture, interior design and I find my creativity in everyday life.

My art and my topics are diverse because they reflect the diversity of life, my experiences and my curiosity. I create mixed media art, abstract acrylic painting, drawing, collage, paper artwork, objects and installations.

My artistic production is influenced by shape, colour, space, three-dimensionality and storytelling. Theoretical knowledge and practical skills come together with intuition, creativity, spontaneity and curiosity. I love to experiment with media and materials, and I try out new things. There is always a place for the unforeseen. Routine is my enemy. That is why each artwork of mine is different and unique.

In my paper artworks and mixed media collages the process of creation is often very physical because I destroy, divide, tear and make something new out the elements. The destruction becomes part of the creative process.

My artworks have various characteristics and tell stories. Some are powerful, eye-catching, fanciful; others are playful, poetic and enchanting or absurd and surrealistic. At the best, while contemplating the artwork, the viewer will connect with the art piece and create his own story. It is this silent conversation between the artwork and the outside world that I am happy to create.

The materials I use are acrylic paint, oil sticks, ink, paper, photos, tissue, sand, structure paste and fabrics, wire and thread. My tools are brushes, palette knifes, spatula or I use simply my fingers. The surfaces I use are either canvas, paper or carton and wood.

Born and raised in Heilbronn, Germany, I lived, worked and studied in Belgium, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Singapore and South Africa. In 2018 I returned to Germany after 34 years living abroad and I have settled down in Wachtberg near Bonn. I am married and have two grown-up children.

My artistic career initiated in 2007 with oil painting, portraying and Basic Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. From 2011 to 2018 I attended the Academie des Beaux-Arts de Watermael-Boitsforts in Brussels, Belgium, where I engrossed my theoretical knowledge and my practical skills in acrylic painting and mixed media techniques. There, I also added paper artwork and collage to my portfolio.

Since 2017, I as well attend practical art classes at the Kulturforum of the University Bonn, Germany, as a student of Stewens Ragone, artist and instructor at the studio of Painting. In his art class my focus lies on mixed media collage and paper artwork. From 2018 to 2020 I was a student of Heather Sheenan, artist and instructor at the studio for Sculpture at the Kulturforum of the University Bonn, where I have created objects with different materials.

In June and December 2017, I participated in a study course organized by Sati Zech, artist and instructor, at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Kolbermoor, Germany. There, I consecrated myself to sculptures and installations.

Until recently, I have attended several workshops with Sati Zech. The main subjects were space and three-dimensionality in drawing, painting, collage and objects. Since 2019 I am a student of Art History at the University Bonn.
