My work is inserted between pictorial realism and figurative, resorting to portraiture as a means of representation to expose the vitality, freshness and beauty of the native Latin American flora.
Through natural pigments and large formats, my production is an attempt to dis-cover the splendor of nature, revalue the native origins and revitalize the coexistence with the natural environment.

Artistic Biography - Catalina Baraona Molina:
I am Chilean, graduated in Visual Arts and Visual Arts Education from Universidad Católica de Chile in 2017.
Since then I have been practicing both careers. In the artistic field, I initially explored various techniques and styles in drawing, abstract and realistic painting, murals and illustrations, among others. Since 2021 I have focused on developing works of Latin American native flora, where I have participated in various national exhibitions, in collaboration with private spaces as well as group and solo exhibitions.
I came to Madrid motivated to surround myself with the artistic and cultural air of Spain and Europe, to explore and nourish myself with it, to experiment new techniques and to inspire myself by living new experiences according to what each day brings me, open to what surprises me.
