My Artistic Approach
My practice was born at the intersection of movement, travel, and the sensitive support I have offered to women through yoga, shared words, and presence. It has also been shaped by encounters — with artists, teachers, and entrepreneurs who have inspired, supported, and guided me.
I see each artwork as an opportunity for evolution — a space where material, emotion, and time converge. Like breath, bodily movement, or the cycles of nature, the creative process is non-linear. It flows through surges, pauses, fertile lows. There are failures that become stepping stones, silences that open new paths. Often, it’s the detours, the hesitations, and the breaks that give birth to what truly matters.
I work both fast and slow, as my pieces require multiple drying phases. The time for maturation is often longer than the act of creation itself. I stop before it’s “too much.” I leave space, asymmetries. I keep the accidents. As in life, a scar becomes a trace and a memory — it’s part of the piece, and often its source of strength.
My work exists between figuration and abstraction. It speaks of life itself — its raw beauty, resilience, and power to transform. I embrace an eco-conscious approach, giving new life to humble or discarded materials. I seek to render them precious. Durability, combined with a sense of luxury, becomes an aesthetic and ethical choice — a way to respect the material. To me, the highest form of beauty is to elevate what was once seen as lost.
Slowness, contemplation, and freedom are, to me, acts of resistance in a world that moves too fast. Through my work, I hope to bring people back to what is essential — both inwardly and outwardly. The greatest form of recognition is not visibility, but the well-being that is shared. As in the teachings of yoga, if someone contemplates a piece and finds a breath, a peace, a healing force… then the circle is complete.
Why “Rose”?
I chose to adopt Rose as my artist name — not as a mere embellishment, but as an essential trace of what I aim to reveal through my work:
A fragile yet powerful beauty, the kind that emerges where we no longer expect it.
As François Cheng beautifully wrote, the rose holds the entirety of being within itself —
“To be fully a rose, in its uniqueness, and nothing else, is already a sufficient reason for being.”
She is woman, life, ephemeral, yet unforgettable.
My art is rooted in this same vision. Creating from what remains — what might have been discarded, what still hurts — and turning it into an offering, something to be contemplated.
Through organic forms, raw textures, and a deep pull toward color, I seek to celebrate the beauty of the living — that which persists, even within chaos.
